Spring has sprung!

Expressions in Yellow & Blue 30x30 oil on linen (3-31-19)

SETUP

Thanks to one of our groups love of flowers we started April with a 2-day life session painting spring flower at SIP weekends at Crossroads.

The crisp setup below was another favorite (without lemons). Mike did a wonderful study. The reflections on the silver were striking!

WITH LEMONS

While I wasn't looking our peony's budded up and are ready to burst. Over the last 10 years every spring I make an arrangement for a live session. Looks like a nice crop of white ones too. They could look spectacular in this cobalt and yellow setup above.... or the one below

Something to think about this week.

My first OPA award - 2019 Virtuosos of the OPA exhibit

Some good new!! MY FIRST OPA AWARD (7th place)
Cutter & Cutter Fine Art
Awards jurist, Daniel Green

I was honored by an award for Evening Treasure, and a ITM (in the money) award check. How about that! Wow! I wish time would have permitted a visit to the gallery..... perhaps next time.

SUNSHINE perched on her new drive way

Actually Sunshine is ready to go. I originally wanted to do the Florida winter art circuit, have some fun selling prints and meeting people along the way. That thought is still on the table...

Nice what can be done in Photoshop and layers. Those little back room nerds need a special place in heaven...

May dust off Sunshine and take a trip to Florida.
