We are proud to launch a new collection, SIP Original Paintings. These are the original works of art, digitally reborn on canvas and framed as affordable luxury—statement art that we like to call the Best Wall Paintings. Our framed canvas works are akin to the traditional limited editions that art collectors cherish. Each piece comes with a Verisart Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist, and secured by blockchain technology to preserve the history and provenance of every artwork produced by Dream Big Artworks (DBA). This creates a transferable trust for the collector.

The Collectors Editions
In addition to SIP Originals, we offer a framed collection known as Collectors Editions. These are numbered, limited editions of 100 pieces. What makes this collection truly special is the added touch of surface texture and varnish applied by the artist, giving each piece an embellished finish that mimics the brushwork of the original painting. These works are printed on fine art paper, double-mounted on foam core with a reverse 45-degree bevel, and framed for a polished, gallery-worthy presentation.

First Steps and Bold Moves: SIP to DBA

First steps are always thrilling, especially when you’re the one taking them. Watching the SIP Artists grow and evolve into DBA (Dream Big Artworks) has been a remarkable journey. Leaving our comfortable nest of many years to step into the world of art and eCommerce was as bold as it was necessary.

The SIP Summer Boot Camp unexpectedly shaped the next chapter in ways I hadn’t envisioned. It sparked the planning and creation of a DBA showroom—not a gallery—and the SIP Academy, designed for seniors and late bloomers pursuing a second career in art. These weren’t part of the original blueprint, but they filled a need we couldn’t ignore. “Academy” is a big word, but here we are, making it a reality as we step into 2025.

Initially, my plan was simple: join the gallery system and let them handle the rest. For a time, it worked. But today’s artists must be more than creators; they must be proactive marketers. Not everyone is comfortable navigating this tech-driven world, but after two years, it’s become second nature to me. Success as an artist today is complicated but absolutely achievable.

Dream Big Artworks taught us valuable lessons—not just about eCommerce but also about what it means to create “Best Wall Paintings.” Reflecting on the journey, it’s clear SIP moved in sync with opportunities as they arose. Each artist was seeking something similar: a fresh start doing what we love—making art.

Yet, the art world is missing something critical: practical resources for artists to build a sustainable living. The traditional model relies heavily on patrons, businesses, and governments to support the arts. While this has its place, it feels outdated. Institutionalizing art often sidelines the practical needs of today’s artists.

Before stepping into the professional arena, an artist must first learn to paint with intuition and confidence. Many talented artists fail because they don’t prepare for this leap. It’s not just about the art itself—it’s about the approach.

Here’s what matters:

• Subject material: Know your audience and what resonates. Find your subject!
  
• Understanding why art is purchased: It’s often emotional, decorative, or both.
• Painting “Best Wall Paintings”: Art that transforms spaces.
• Size: Scale matters in creating impact.
• Presentation: Framing and finishing make a difference.
• Self-marketing: Learning to sell yourself is non-negotiable.
