A weeks worth of paint and canvas, Grey Days

Prevailing rainy grey days with occasional breaks of sunshine seem the norm in my part of the planet.

Canvas 1263 is another 32x32 square.

BRIGHT & SHINY MOMENT

The bottom portion was derived from the two references (above). The cropped reference (below) will be used next session in the upper right hand corner .

The Iris were not touching the water surface but my reference suggested it did, so I did, actually liked the idea. However angles/prospective were off and adjusted. The painting  also took a bad turn here...

I'll finish up in the frame, start at the top and work my way down to a sign-off. A perfect rainy day to stay inside and paint along with Pandora easy radio.

 .
Funny thing I was okay with it until later that night. The middle looks like scrambled eggs...... yikes!

I have to paint around everything. So uncluttering will be more difficult. The best way to deal with it is paint through the lilies where necessary, then reinstate by wiping off with a "wet one"..... of course it has to be dry. Looks like another rainy day too!

RED CIRCLES

I stepped away for a few days and still not right! Nuts! However "Grey Days" still seems an appropriate title.

FINAL REWORK!
Grey Days 32x32 oil on linen (8-3-18 canvas 1263)

Okay, that's what I'm talking about! Grey Days started and finished in the rain, and missed a certain RED "X"

The lily pond has been static with all the rain so might be time to move on. Thinking about Venice with a dose of drama.
