I can't wait to meet up with the Swimming-in-Paint team this weekend at Crossroads Art Center. This year the team has multiple studio options to fit their busy schedules listed below.
Swimming-in-Paint's 2018 theme and challenge will be painting Mood. The best way to start January is to focus on the sun and its effect on air.

"ATMOSPHERIC MOOD"
Artists, Inness, Bierstadt, Monet, Van Gogh painted the sun and often made it a focal point in their work. Each generation produces new masters and a new crop of artists trying their hand painting light and atmosphere. How we choose to render atmosphere is a true artists game. If you're into it, you'll spend a lifetime perfecting your skills. Great atmospheric works are protected, gain immortality and grace the best walls long after we mortal artists are gone and perhaps forgotten..... We all start somewhere including our heroes below.
INNESS on a wall
VAN GOGH
Each master produced a different and lasting result to a common subject! The suns effect on air,
SEE YOU THIS WEEKEND :=)
