Enough time spent gambling in the market, time to paint! The choices were down to two references, one from my last post, which I like and a new one, related but, developed a bit later. In my mind, both want to be on the big side, both are formal in mood, close in colour tone, each work well for my purposes!
Choices
Or
Why Choose! Why not merge both into one?
Until this moment, did not anticipate one painting. Photoshop introduced possibilities using ordinary references perhaps not conceived otherwise. Saved time, allowing rapid, creative modification of visual ideas until a good one surfaced worthy of time, and execution. However, not the concept merging both into one large statement! That came out of nowhere in a nano second. And a game changer with an additional challenge I like. There will be modifications yet unknown. Similarities will shorten painting time, allowing more quality time to focus on painting skills.... Especially important on a 66x78 canvas, execution will make or break it! I'm thinking of using silver metal leaf also. I want this to be a contemporary piece, not my norm. Perhaps, a fantasy piece or decorative in nature, not a serious work for representational painter to spend time on. I can do serious but would rather explore other avenues now.
