Colour chip 2nd day

As promised, a daily progress post. Today, when waterspout and most of the bubbles were omitted the painting gave way to a title, "Pond Lace". The mauve colour movement left on green water surface felt like lace, hence the title.

Canvas 1326-2 at days end 4/9/20

Detail 1326-2, Note: deliberate placement  of  block-out  colour

My brushwork, while a bit crude is moving deliberately with the pattern made by water swirl.  Mauve first, then permanent green, the more saturated, dominate colour, because it would not be affected mixed with mauve. All I had to do was fill in the white areas left.... again, with the overall pattern.

1326-2 Detail 3-D effect

If my punctuation is sharp and clean, even with expressive brushwork, there will be a 3-D effect as seen with the lower lily pads. One clearly projects out from canvas surface.

I am looking forward to the next session. My plan is to complete the top portion of the canvas. With no distractions perhaps finish it!
